Six Sigma is a business management approach that is founded on careful planning and determined application and can be made exclusive to address the needs of businesses to augment the marketability of their products and services as well as to cut down on their needless expenditures. The system was fashioned by Motorola and since then has taken pleasure in a rising popularity among production companies. Nowadays, the demand for Six Sigma knowledge is pronounced amid manufacturing concerns. Particularly, experts in the aspect of the system that seeks to address limiting needless expenditures in a business are in great demand. Statistics show that the companies who held fast firmly to the rules have cut down radically on their expenses. It is apparently of no use to do a halfway and uninformed accomplishment. The best way to make sure that the business will profit completely by a consistent application of the system is by having their people endure thorough and complete training. It is best to organize the system from within the ranks of management itself than to have it applied on the exterior by third party consultants (All about Six Sigma Training, 2011).

Six sigma is now celebrated to be a major advance in the field of business management. It is the most powerful tool ever intended in business management. Its success can be measured from the fact that business has become even more demanding in the recent times than it was ever before. Six sigma joins some of the best method of the past with the current breakthrough in management thinking along with loads of common sense. The term six sigma refers to plummeting defects to zero or near zero. To manage this perfect record of no errors, six sigma has a diversity of tools that can be utilized to make one's business a better place in all respects. All workers in a business organization who have been trained in six sigma are trained to work inside the DMAIC model of improvement (Six Sigma Tools Explained, 2011).

The fundamentals of Six Sigma include gauging the existing system so that the development made towards the definite goals can be observed through suitable and dependable metrics set for the purpose. Analyze the system to recognize ways and means which would result in the elimination of the accessible gap between current performance and the preferred goal. Advance the system by being imaginative and finding novel methods to do things cheaper, better and even quicker. Manage the new system and institutionalize the new and enhanced system.
