However, if innovative approaches are used (such as: the home health model) these costs will dramatically decline. This is because there is a concentrated effort on offering different solutions by controlling the kinds of services everyone has access to. These groups can be able to seek out more specialized services only after their condition has worsened. Those who do not need them will receive preventive treatment to ensure that their underlying levels of health remain consistently strong. This is achieved through regular visits and teaching everyone the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. (Berenson, 2012)At the same time, technology will be used to improve communication between health care professionals and stakeholders. These ideas are showing how strategic planning, performance improvement and information systems are necessary for ensuring the effective delivery of health care services. These areas are all interrelated to one another and a fundamental element for improving quality. (Berenson, 2012)
Conclusion
Clearly, the health care sector is facing a number of challenges that are impacting treatment, quality and the availability of services. These are keys for ensuring that everyone has access to solutions that will address critical issues affecting their physical well-being. However, the lingering effects of the recession, rising costs and fiscal challenges for the government are leading to more people not having health care coverage. When this happens, large segments of the population are priced out of the health care system. This is based on using qualitative and quantitative research to understand overall scope of the problems.

However, the home health model is one way of being able to address these challenges. This is because there is a focus on preventive medicine and providing access to more expensive solutions in situations where the person's health has severely declined. In the future, this reduces costs by focusing on technology to improve collaboration. These factors are illustrating how strategic planning, performance improvement and information systems need to be correlated to effectively focus different resources. This is the key in dealing with the current challenges impacting the health care system.
