Evaluation discussion: why you should avoid purchasing Apples iPhone X

Introduction

Apple\'s Tenth anniversary iPhone X holds the news headlines nowadays. Given that iPhone X happens to be a major advancement of iPhone 7 and 8, stepping up to iPhone X is claimed to produce numerous advantages and a lot of the discussion centers around the lack of Home button, OLED display, fast wi-fi charging, and so on, which are not offered in the earlier designs (Bella, 2017; Spoonauer, 2017). Could upgrading to the latest iPhone X be recommended? This article recommends against the purchase of the iPhone X at this time, for four key reasons, each of which contributes to the conclusion that the iPhone X is poor value. The four reasons to avoid purchasing an iPhone X include the high price, its format limitations, the difficulty in moving files to/from a computer and rapid battery depletion. These seven drawbacks form the basis of why you should avoid purchasing Apple\'s iPhone X.

Beginning at $999, the iPhone X is probably the priciest phone of all time, exceeding perhaps even the high-quality substitutes such as the Galaxy Note 8 (costing between $930 and $960). Competing products via Samsung, Google as well as LG cost between $50 to $199 less, and it is very easy to even obtain a brand-new iPhone 8 or possibly 8+ for significantly lower than what the latest iPhone X will cost (Spoonauer, 2017).
