I need an essay with a thesis statement that represents this thought: In the Scarlet Letter, the letter A represents the transformation of Hestor Pyrnn or the transformation of Hestor through the letter A. I was thinking of the following A as adultery to outside world (grave sin that threatens her soul, etc.), A as Arhur Dimesdale to Hestor because of the elaborate A that she designed in size and style, the physical result of her adultery i.e. Pearl, A as Able, and finally A as awe.

To the world, the letter A meant adultery but to Hestor the love and passion for Author Dimesdale. Hestor made the letter elaborate, etc.

As time progresses, the meaning is trasforms from adulteress to able to eventually awe.
