By 380 to 38 votes, the U.S. House of Representatives accepted the Kennedy-Ros Lehtinen amendment. The amendment will lend forgiveness under the Loan Forgiveness for Service in Areas of National Need program to child and adolescent mental health professionals, in the goal to persuade individuals to seek jobs in that area. While the amendment is important it is not confirmed whether the preparation will become law nor is it can take place of HR-1106.
