Budget Narrative

Each expense listed in this proposed budget is crucial towards the realization of this program and its associated objectives. The executive director will be responsible for program management and ensure effective delivery of services (Peisach & Kroecker, 2008). The salary is based on the findings of county salary survey that shows that comparable positions are averagely paid $10,000 to $20,000 for short-term projects and benefits. The administrative assistant salary is based on the fact that they averagely paid $34,000 annually and much less for short-term projects ("Administrative Assistant," n.d.). Trained parenting educators salary is based on their average annual salary of $30,000 and benefits (Suttle, n.d.). The case manager will be employed for client's parents to receive extra support services and resources. The pay for case managers ranges from $27,000 to $70,000, which implies the $10,000 and benefits would be suitable for this 8-week program ("Case Salary Manager," n.d.). The benefits for employees in this program will include employer-paid taxes, allowances, and performance-related benefits.

While the Mbrace Agency will avail its conference room for the weekly meetings, the $10,000 is for rent to help the organization handle the costs of maintenance and other expenses relating to the room. Equipment will include computers, printers and other IT-related items that will be used for the program and not provided by Mbrace Agency. Office supplies include all stationery items like printing paper, pens, toner or ink cartridges, file folders, computer disks, and post-it notes that will be used for the daily running of program activities. The minimal expenses for these items are attributed to the fact that they are small, disposable items. Utilities include office electricity and water bills while travel will include the cost of travel for home visits to be conducted each week. Evaluation cost is an allocation of $10% for any expenses incurred during the assessment of the program.
