Powers and Roles of PresidentPresidents in most countries are the ones which are considered to be powerful. Their powers are provided through constitution of these countries. They play key figure to be trusted by the citizens. The fate of a country is on the hand of the president since he has obligation of keeping peace all the time. There are several powers and roles which are vested on the president, for example the power and the roles of the president in United States are indicated in the Article II of the constitution.
President has the role of being the head of the state plus the head of government. He represents the nation in his country or during abroad visit, and he has the mandate of offering diplomatic recognition for any state. In United state, the president has responsibility of Budget preparation though it undergoes approval by the opposition. President signs bills into law, within ten days of receipt. In United States, the president appoints 6,000 new federal positions, prior to taking office. These appointments are from top officials of U.S. government agencies to the members of the diplomatic corps plus staffs of the White House. Most of the appointments are with the consent and advice of the United States Senate. He also nominates federal judges. United State Supreme Court plus States Court of Appeals are among his nominations, though there has to be confirmation from the Senate, Christopher lee (2006).
