Discussion

Essentially, obeying the authority is based on the intrinsic and extrinsic factors on naturalism. Individuals, obeying the law, will inherently obey the law based on their ability to meet feel secure. Therefore, a greater extent of obeying the law is based on the knowledge of intrinsic rewards as compared extrinsic determinants. However, the extent of injuring other people is taken to a greater concern. In most cases, individuals feel obliged to do what they want if at all it does not injure other people (Burglin, Barry, and Kuwatch 43). Normative perspective stipulates that people who respond to the moral appropriateness of given authority will tend to break law related to civil-self like using drugs. However, the same individual will refrain from committing corrosive crimes; for instance, homicides, since crimes of this nature affect other people. Therefore, in debating the extent of individuals obeying the law, intrinsically driven normative perspective leads the general discourse of norms of obligations, respect, and justice. Atheist, (a group of people who are considered naturally evil), will often hold a view of an eye-for -- an eye perspective. This amongst many other views will often lead the track of morality (Wallerstein, 331)

In the modern political environment, the authority will often champion the argument of legitimacy. Further to this norm, the authority will often attempt to justify those laws (whether constructive or destructive) are legitimate since they present the views of the community. Thus, the extent at which people obey the authority is often justified on the nature of law prevailing in a given country. For instance, in Malaysia, individuals are allowed to carry legally 100 grams of Mary Jane, while, in some countries, smoking of the drug is illegal. Hence, there are two arguments presented in revising the concept of obeying the law. One, how do the authorities exercise the law and other reinforcements? Secondly, how the laws and other reinforcements designed?

Research Design

In relation to this, the upcoming research will seek to investigate factors discussed in this research. The research will apply a hybrid of qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess data relating to the outcome of this research. This study advocates the application of the descriptive research design. The underlying factor will be based on the application observations when explaining the conditions. The researcher will sample participants from different jurisdictions by the use of online questions. The questionnaires will be undifferentiated to ensure that they meet the demands of several jurisdictions.'

Conclusion

This research has attempted to prove largely that individuals will often obey to the authority based on the knowledge of intrinsic moral good over extrinsic rewards. The discussion has focused on identifying the various levels of obedience as determined by the laws of individuals in power. The study has also examined several factors, including democracy and dictatorship, the act of consent, and the utilitarian position of a given authority. The study has encapsulated with a concise research design; paving way for future analysis of the highlighted research questions (Burglin, Barry, and Kuwatch 19).
