[EXCERPT] . . . .
Once this is done, benchmarks needs to be defined for improvement. As these processes are improved first through manual and next through automated means, Peachtree will begin to understand how best to redefine their IT strategies to better serve patients. This benchmarking phase will also show how effective process re-definition of patient-facing processes are, and will also provide insights into which areas of the healthcare providers;' patient care and records systems need the most work. Finally after all this is completed, the structure of a series of Web Services that are agile enough to respond to individual department, division and company needs can be implemented on a phased approach. Peachtree must involve the physicians and medical staff very heavily in this rollout process to mitigate resistance to change and give them a chance to tailor the system to their specific needs (Fickenscher, Bakerman, 2011).References
