Having such conflicting interests in mind, FCC regulators aimed at having a balance to attain economic-theory-of-regulation perspective (VanHoose 309). Through this, net neutrality rules favor the industry's profitability objectives and establish that the regulations bring broadband providers with market power to heal or decide the actual and potential competition among the providers, application and content providers.

Therefore, the interests of the consumers are put in place and other instances the regulations acts as supervisors captured by particular interest groups. Thus, regulations reduce broadband providers to "dumb pipes" that are incapable of offering their potential consumer-welfare-enhancing competition to content and application providers. Moreover, the rules will not disrupt capital markets or investment and hence, will have no effect on their value or future profitability. Furthermore, the issue of regulation action will not have any influence on their investor's strategies of investment or even their long-term profitability (FCC 13). For companies like Netflix, net neutrality regulation helps them ban payments from Netflix to ISPs such as AT&T.

It is clear that it is worth protecting the interests of the different groups mentioned because it gives consumers the freedom to use their data in any way they want. With an open and free Internet, it is the single greatest technology where control is not made so that businesses are at the mercy of corporations. The regulations will also mean the ISP competition is stimulated, which will prevent unfair pricing practices and this promotes innovation among people. Having an open and free Internet encourages the spread of ideas among different interest groups such as students, business personnel, and even government entities. It is also worth spending on net neutrality regulations because it drives entrepreneurship and protects the people's freedom of speech. By having a restricted Internet, this means that big corporations would impose tight controls on the access to websites and services, and thus, it is important for FCC regulations to be implemented and incorporated into law. This implies that the Internet is important to the economy and a country's democracy. In effect, FCC adopted rules to bar ISPs from blocking anyone's transmission or even offering paid prioritization. By applying regulations, this will eliminate favoritism in the way ISPs receives their transmission content providers, cable and phone company signals towards their subscribers. Regulations disclaim authority to set rules and through this FCC wants to reclassify the Internet to be as a phone-like utility for the public to embrace.

It is conclusive that the scheme is viable and needs to be considered by the Congress, ISPs, cable companies, the FCC and even interest groups because it adds value to all their various operations. With an open and free Internet, all the stakeholders are going to gain from it regarding improving their social and economic perspective and thus, elevate their status. I believe that this is viable because all the interested groups will benefit from the move and essentially, will leave others empowered and knowledgeable. It is also true that net neutrality is something of the 21st century to embrace and consider in all their operations because it leaves them nourished in the mind, body and soul. By practicing net neutrality in the current world, many people are bound to benefit and for the students, the Internet is a way of enriching their minds with knowledge that can be used for solving future problems in their workplace.
