[EXCERPT] . . . .
Taking timely action instead of attempting to repair damages after they occur is the wise course to adopt. As regards the undertaken Green Computing venture, risk mitigation involves more time, costs, and resources; however, it may consider an efficient way. The project manager may carefully monitor task performance, deliverables, and resources. Sometimes, employing appropriate techniques and tools facilitates risk mitigation. For instance, the project leader may mitigate the problem of inaccurate estimation of costs through regular review of project budget and financial data trends. The purpose is ensuring zero project-overrun costs. The earlier the problem is identified; the sooner it will be resolved. Informing the project team of cost for ensuring they are aware of their expenses is imperative.Quality Management Plan
Quality in the manufacturing arena denotes the company's (or product's) measure of superiority or the state of not having any flaws, appreciable variations, and shortfalls. This is achieved through rigorous and due diligence to particular standards for attaining product homogeneity and satisfying specific consumer requirements. According to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 8402-1986 standard, quality denotes a totality of characteristics and features of any service or product capable of fulfilling implicit or explicit needs (Rosen, 2004).
Quality requirements of individual project stages are listed below:

Data collection and research methodology
1. Literature review -- analyze reports and articles for learning latest green computing trends and ascertaining the best practice(s).
1. Interviews -- interview employees for gaining more information on project efficacy.
1. Survey -- Administer a survey online on the topic of awareness of ecofriendly computing technologies.
Reporting
Concerned parties should have access to the following documents:
1. Deliverables linked to project management:
0. Project charter
0. Business case
0. Statement of project scope
0. Project team contract
0. WBS
0. Schedule
0. Status report

0. Report of lesson learned
1. Deliverables related to ecofriendly computing products:
1. Design document
1. Intensive project report
1. Hardware
1. Software code
Project quality has four dimensions, namely cost, security, sustainability, and performance. Expenditure represents a project's backbone and hence, it is essential to make sure costs are maintained within the estimated budget. Given green computing's complexity and newness, being ready for the unknown is crucial. Management reserve or unforeseen variations refer to the part of funds included in project cost estimates that allow for unpredictable situations in future (Ireland, Hughes, West, Smith, & Shepherd, 2012).
Furthermore, complexity necessitates additional consultation from outsources or other specialized parties in the field. Also, similar to all other projects, this project has cost limitations that must be adhered to throughout the course of the project. Meanwhile, as regards the security dimension, green computing proves risky if reusable or recycled material is utilized for making its hardware components. Risks result in susceptibility and susceptible technology can easily compromise quality and outcomes. Security and performance are correlated such that improved security features involve greater usage. This successively proves a burden to response time. Green technology's complex nature may be one of the factors bringing about slow response (Murch, 2001).
Taking everything into account, one of the ways of maintaining cost, performance, and security would be through emphasis on sustainability. With respect to green computing, sustainability represents the technology's capacity of maintenance at a particular level or rate, for at least some years into the future. Technological evolution has reached its peak developmental stage and an increasing amount of technological devices is being launched on a nearly daily basis (Charvat, 2002).
Hence, one impact of swift growth on sustainability is its difficulty in maintaining a given technology for long, as its elements may undergo another evolution, thereby giving rise to incompatibility and necessitating revision. Swift growth hastens technology obsolescence. Consequently, one means for overcoming this problem would be making the technology privileged and exclusive. Exclusivity controls mass technological distribution and simultaneously safeguards its quality. However, exclusivity may be negative as well as positive. The disadvantage of creating an exclusive technology: it has limited exposure and subsequently, limited room to improve (Schwalbe, 2013).
Project Closure Plan
Lessons Learned
All projects in all fields, whether successful or not, have associated lessons to learn from the challenges encountered. Competent project managers note down, study these lessons, and apply those in future organizational projects (Hallow, 1998).
Post Project Review
Reviewing one's project after completion is a good practice. Both, the review and analysis of lessons one can learn must be undertaken. Project revaluation for comparing the actual with the planned offers a sound view of project performance. The two activities create meaningful input for future ventures (Murch, 2001).
Project Acceptance
Official acceptance of the project necessitates the customer or project sponsor's signature, prior to closure. This step is crucial but does not release resources or project team from their undertaking. The project head is responsible for releasing resources at closure and ensuring all concluding tasks are accomplished (Rosen, 2004).
Transition-out Plan
Well-formulated transition-out plans facilitate smooth transition at a project's ending. A number of RFPs (Requests for Proposals) call for draft plans of this sort to be included with the proposal. Many aspects need consideration when transitioning to customer or to some new contractor. The plan must with the organization's unique needs, customer, and the particular contract (Hallow, 1998).
Conclusion
This report details project requirements. A key element in project success is proper communication. Risk mitigation and management is imperative as well. Dealing with stakeholders and efficient delivery of superior-quality work is the project's main objective.
