[EXCERPT] . . . .

In the same way Drake's performance was liked by the audience as well although, his collection was very anachronistic but was greatly enjoyed not only by the hardcore believers but the casual listeners. Rather than going for the radio hits such as, "Take Care," "Best I Ever Had," "Over" and "Find Your Love" he played songs like "All Me," "Crew Love," and "Versace." Throughout the performance the audiences of Las Vegas were being asked by Drake if they were ready to party but it was very evident that it was his party as, he played only what he wanted to play. Still his performance was received greatly by the audience as; he did it with all his heart. However, along with fulfilling his own heart's desire Drake did keep in mind the wishes of the audience and did play songs like "Started From The Bottom," "The Motto" and "Hold On, We're Goin' Home" which are very popular with the audience. Hours before Timberlake and Drake came on stage McCartney performed and tested his upcoming songs on the audience. He played three complete songs in place of a set of list with eight songs. McCartney wanted to promote his new album after six years at a big event. Therefore, in his performance more focus was laid on the new songs which were liked greatly by the audience.

These approaches by McCartney, Timberlake and Drake were again exclusive to the festival and their shows on the day which made the experience of the concert even more memorable for the audience as they were able to take away different versions of the songs, enjoy some new tracks as well as interact continuously with the artists during the performance in order to make the entire experience far more interactive and personal.

hosen methods of performances by the artists in the festival helped the experience of the festival for the fans to be a 'once in a lifetime' experience and it helped promote the artists on a new scale as well. Similarly, the festival and the range of artists in it was able to bring a variety of audiences from different races, ethnicities and gender types who basically looked beyond the personal characteristics and chose to be more tolerant and less prejudiced in their interactions with each other by focusing on their commonalities for love of the music. This also helped the community to present a stronger and more tolerant perception to the neighboring states in general as well and it helped the community get in a lot of foreign exchange, tourism activity and a stronger economic output in general during the festival.

Today the world around us has become a global village and knowing the popular trends and cultures around the world has become very important to survive in our society. Today, people want to be a part of what is trendy and popular in order to be acceptable in the society that they live in. This same thing can be seen through this paper as well, music is known as a common language for people all around the world.

Various genres of music are liked by people from different age groups and ethnicities. Such as, teenagers like singers such as Miley Cyrus with her hip-hop music while African-American are more into rap music. Therefore, people like to stay up-to-date about the trends and cultures that interest them or that they feel would make them more acceptable in a society.

Quoted Instructions for "Live Concert Analysis Structurally Speaking" Assignment:

1. For this paper, I am supposed to attend a live concert and to analyze what I see and what I hear. Please pretend you went to the iHeartRadio Music festival on September 21st in Las Vegas, and use the video clips I sent to you in order to write this paper. Your paper should include specific details about what act you are reviewing, the make-up of the audience, and a discussion of one or more of the questions of identity (race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality) we have been focusing on in the course. Paying attention to the reactions and behaviors of the audience is as important as paying attention to the actual content of the performance itself. How does performance impact questions of race, gender, sexuality? How does performance build community? How does affect shape the experience of the concert?

2. This class is about Popular music and American Culture, and basically through this course I've learned about the idea of America and American identity through the comparative study of popular music. We used music as a method for exploring issues of race and ethinicity in the constitution of American culture and in the making and unmaking of the American self.

Please using the content as above for writing the analysis.
