Descriptive research attempts to define and understand what is happening in more detail and with more support. This attempt at descriptive research entails efforts to find common definitions and terms to help guide the newly formed subject of information assurance. The pace at which this field grows dictates that need for this type of pause to assess the current state of the subject and how it can be fused with other areas of research in a more practical and pragmatic fashion.Approach
The approach to this research will be in the model of a meta-analysis. This approach is doing research about research. This approach has certain advantages in that it can assist in establishing statistical and logical significance with varying opinions. Expected results
The expected results are to find explicit data that links the importance of individual ethics when applied to large organizational IT schemes that safeguard ideals such as privacy and integrity. The approach of a descriptive research effort should include the researcher themselves to be open minded and not biased towards any one result. The expected results in this research project are merely assumptions and letting the information in the research itself guide the process appears to be the most honest and practical way to conduct such a research effort.
Budget
This research project requires no extra funds beyond the need to fuel this student's ability to research, read and write.

MY TOPIC IS: Achieving Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability Confidentiality within a shared centralized data processing environment.
Description: Shared centralized processing is a key piece to modern day data processing. It provides an environment that multiple companies can utilize remotely to process large quantities of data in short periods of time. One of the major concerns is its security; as the data is confidential to individual companies. It is a great challenge to design an information security scheme that safeguards the individual companies’ data. The aim of the project is to design a secure multi-partition, role-based Centralized Data Processing environment. The formal proposal must provide a clear and lucid description of a question, project or problem and a proposed method of answering the question, addressing the project or solving the problem. The proposal should explain the question, project, or problem to be investigated and convince the professor that the question, project or problem merits investigation. Should include background information related to the thesis topic or project, purpose of the thesis or project, and investigatory procedures to be used.
Please follow the this Basic Proposal Outline:
