The Internet is making it possible for someone to publically accuse an organization or individual of questionable activities. The problem is that many of these statements could be false and misleading. This will have an impact on the reputation and image of: a person, brand or organization. These areas are directly conflicting with what is considered to be personal privacy and opinions that are expressed (versus the actual facts). No, the rules regarding personal jurisdiction should not be different for web-based businesses. This is because many of the claims and representations about a firm could be completely false. As these opinions were created based upon a select amount of customers who are complaining about nothing (versus identifying an actual scam that is occurring). Moreover, the common law requirements for copyrights and patents are germane. This means that current laws should be applied for web-based businesses. As a result, any kind of firm that engages in these types of activities needs to be held to the same kin
