Stroke
Question1. What is your differential diagnosis based on the information you have now?
There are several differential analyses for this patient's conditions. These include hypoglycemia; resulting in confusion, drowsiness, and diminished level of consciousness. The other is migraine which is likely to precipitate a stroke (Snell, 2006). The other differential analysis is migraine whose symptoms are nausea, vomiting, and headache though; these are rare for stroke patients. In addition, chronic subdural hematoma has been frequently reported to be present with stroke symptoms.
Question2. What other questions would you like to ask?
It is critical to know when the patient started experiencing the symptoms. The number of times he has had altered breathing and heart rate, and inability to turn his head to one side will be noted. The patient's lifestyle, proneness to headaches, and vomiting will also be examined (Senelick, Rossi, & Dougherty, 1994).
