The basic elements of effective communication basically revolve around the appropriate framing of the message, use of a suitable communication channel, and appropriate response of reaction from the receiver. On the contrary, the basic rule of health communication is centered on understanding the patient goals and objective and aligning them with effective treatment plans. As a result, these rules of health care communication are mainly centered on promoting better patient outcomes.Encouraging Health Care Consumer to Communicate Candidly:
Since the basic rules of health care communication are centered on understanding patient goals and aligning them with proper treatment plans and methods, there is need to encourage the health care consumer to communicate candidly. The candid communication by the patient enables the physician or caregiver to understand the actual goals and objectives of the patient and design treatment procedures that meet these goals. However, some health care consumers may be unable to communicate candidly with the providers, which necessitate the need to encourage them to communicate in such a manner. The caregivers can encourage consumers to communicate candidly with them through overcoming the long-standing modes of behavior. The health care facility should instruct patients and their families on how to collaborate with caregivers (Spath, 2004). This can be done through establishing a patient safety culture that enables the leadership team to model and actively participate in candid conversations. In this case, the practitioners should let go of their egos and even admit that medical mistakes occur so that patients are involved in prevent the medical err

Influence of Culture Differences on Communication:
Effective communication across various sectors including health care is usually affected by various factors such as cultural differences. Cultural differences have a major impact on communication since culture is usually at the center of every communication challenge. Cultural differences affect communication because various cultures have different communication styles, attitudes, approaches towards communication, decision-making strategies, disclosure and knowing. As a result, cultural differences contribute to individual differences that contribute to differences in how individual communicate and understand messages.
Conclusion:
Communication plays an important role across various settings since it's the basis of every human interaction. Effective communication in every setting of the society is dependent on various basic elements that are different from the basic rules of heath care communication, which is geared towards improving patient outcomes.
