[EXCERPT] . . . .

The three main goals are to limits offensive opportunities, to create turnovers and to be more aggressive and mentally tough than the opponent.

The first defensive is our basic zone coverage, with the CBs falling back to defend deeper areas, and the outside linebackers sliding over to defend runs and short passes.

The next play is a weak side corner blitz, which sees pressure from the strong side force the QB to turn into the blitzing CB.

The final play is another blitz, this time using the linebackers to blitz both left and right, leaving the safeties to cover a larger area of the field but ideally not allowing a pass.

field activity will focus on warm-ups and fundamental skills. We will not walk through plays while warming up at the field of the other team. Basic passing drills, basic rushing and coverage drills will be the extent, but mostly the focus will be on getting the muscles loose so we're ready to play.
