Introduction and Consultation

Layla is a 25-year-old single female who works as a receptionist in a local gym. She exercises well and has a healthy diet but her skin is dry and dehydrated largely due to her spending long hours in an air-conditioned environment. In addition to the facial treatment plan outlined here, I advised Layla to supplement her diet with Omega fatty acids. She has no known medical issues.

Treatment Plan

Layla's treatment plan will include a spa-like European facial using a rich cream cleanser, followed by an alcohol-free toner, and a light non-abrasive exfoliation cream. The three-step cleansing process prepares Layla's skin for the rest of the facial. Next we will steam Layla's skin to open the pores gently, massage her head and neck to help keep her relaxed during the 50-minute procedure, gently extract any blockages like blackheads, and then apply a rich, moisturizing mask containing vitamins. The mask also contains olive oil and vitamin sC and E.

Keeping the steamer on while the mask sits will help the vitamins and the olive oil from the product seep deep into Layla's dehydrated skin. After ten minutes the mask will be wiped off, and a light finishing moisturizer will be applied after which we will guide Layla toward the best everyday products for her skin type. In addition to the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer used during the facial, Layla is urged to purchase a sun block cream to protect her skin from further dryness.

Conclusion

Before treatment, Layla's skin showed signs of visible dryness such as light flaking on the cheeks

and some corresponding redness. Layla said that the facial relaxed her and also noticed the difference in the appearance of her skin immediately. Her skin glowed and took on a whole new hue after the facial.

Client 2: Introduction and Consultation

Josey has had sensitive skin most of her life. At 45, she is looking to keep her skin looking young while avoiding flare-ups and other complications associated with many commercial products. Like her skin, Josey's digestive and immune systems are also delicate. She has several allergies and avoids certain foods like dairy and wheat. As a lawyer, Josey works hard but lives a healthy lifestyle.

Treatment Plan

Josey's treatment plan will consist of a mini-facial. Josey had received a facial just over one month ago and therefore does not require any in-depth treatment. First we use a gentle cleanser and alcohol-free toner both designed exclusively for reactive skin. A mild exfoliating cream will help prepare Josey's skin for the steamer, during which some extraction will remove blocked pores. We will apply a freshly made mask using egg yolk and honey to avoid exposing Josey's sensitive skin to potentially harmful chemicals or allergens. The mask will be removed, and once again we will use a mild cleanser followed by a light moisturizer. It is especially important to take notes on what products Josey uses so that we can discover which irritate her skin and which help her achieve flawless beauty.

Conclusion

With regular facials, Josey's sensitive skin can become more manageable. Already after two facial treatments and one mini-facial Josey's skin seems less red and reactive. Part of the reason for her sensitive skin is dietary allergens, and keeping on top of her diet will be an important part of her overall beauty regimen.
