One of the most viable strategies, therefore, would include an aggressive public relations campaign educating people about the dangers of avian influenza and emphasizing how easy it is to live without this disease by taking precautionary measures. Such measures include covering mouths when people cough and yawn, increasing vitamin intake and rest during periods in which the seasons change, and taking other active measures not to transmit this illness when affected with it. The U.S. has the funds to activate such a campaign, and could do so readily.

Still, there are a number of fatal conditions that are specified in health care indicators that the U.S. should take dedicated to action to reduce the incidence of that pertain to nutrition, cardiovascular health, diabetes, and other terminal conditions that are seemingly affected by eating habits and environment. The main strategy that policy makers need to utilize for these health indicators is a preventative one. There are certain factors or commonalities that research has related to these various conditions that pertain to elements of exercise, dietetic habits, and certain living conditions. Individuals can decrease the likelihood of certain cardiovascular conditions, for instance, with regular exercising and eating proper foods. Eating proper foods also includes eschewing a number of foods that have been linked to unhealthy conditions.

As such, policy makers should make a point of emphasizing that unless individuals are born with certain conditions, many of the aforementioned illnesses are preventable due to individual behavior and choices. Every healthcare facility should include a consultation session about these realities (particularly for individuals who are at ages that are more susceptible to these conditions than others). Additionally, these sort of public service announcements should presage popular media, including films, television shows, Digital Video Discs and Blue-Ray releases. Lastly, the U.S. should abandon the Affordable Care Act and make health insurance affordable again. Current rates are ridiculously high and, worst of all, offer treatment and services that are far inferior to that previously offered at affordable rates. Doing so will ensure that people can not only afford to get health insurance but also utilize it once they have it. There are current Supreme Court hearings regarding this issue, again public health officials should launch campaigns targeting the realities around this act and its undesirable ramifications.
