Wellness Tourism
Cultural itineraries are among the current primary attractions for cultural tourism. In addition, they are a tourism planning device which favors sustainable growth. The design of these itineraries, however, ought to bear in mind that cultural tourism, with respect to sustainability, symbolizes the balance between the quality of the tourist experience and cultural resources and their presentation, and the life quality of the town that they belong to (Carlos et al., 2015). This result opens the door to product development, cross marketing and promotional approaches and new branding.
The common attribute in adventure, yoga, eco, religious / spiritual tourism and wellness tourism is the noble intention of constructive engagement with individuals, resources and cultures. Therefore, wellness tourism is an active encounter where a tourist aims to discover or restore balance and seek personal-actualization. Finding oneself and a society which shares a common interest are certainly essential ingredients of a wellness tourism encounter (Carolin L, 2015).
