[EXCERPT] . . . .
The city remains affordable. This has resulted in its healthy net migration population count, low operational costs for businesses, and a strong local government. The most important and thriving energy sector is one of the major driving forces not only for San Antonio but also for the entire state of Texas. The success of the drilling of Eagle Ford Shale has attracted the investments from majors in the Oil and Gas industry worldwide. San Antonio was stagnating for decades with only two major industries in its repertoire- health care and military. However, in recent times the opening up transportation and hence logistics, Oil and Gas and hence energy sector and with them the related IT sector, the base of economic growth has become much wider. That was presumably the reason of its resilience to the Great Depression. The emergence of newer oilfields exploration will lead to the need for more services in consulting domain. The growth trend promises to keep on growing. With the wide and diverse business base and a strong and vibrant economy, San Antonio is soon coming up as the next best thing to happen to Texas. The main factors that are creating job opportunities are the growth and expansion of military, healthcare, energy, and tourism. The job opportunities in Alamo City are the best in the nation at present and are only improving. The affordable living rates combined with multiple job opportunities have seen large immigrations into this city of late (CBRE Global Research and Consulting 2).
Alamo Ridge Business Center will be latest addition to the existing infrastructure for businesses. East Group started on this venture in the 2nd quarter of 2014 in the new industrial park.

For the last six years, San Antonio has led the trade interests of the entire nation. It has shouldered national responsibility in the International trade industry. It location and convenience along with its strong local governance makes it an ideal destination for international trade success. It is one of the most favored locations by global business players seeking to find a foothold in the American market.
San Antonio has a diverse and rich cultural texture, a strong and vibrant economy and boasts of highly qualified, skilled, trained workforce and hence makes it a preferred location for international business (CBRE Global Research and Consulting 3).
Section 4: Competitors: a list of all the competitors and the disadvantages and advantages we have over them.
In San Antonio there are a number of companies which call themselves "business consultants" but when these companies are looked at in detail it can clearly be seen that these are merely firms providing secretarial and bookkeeping services. A few of the companies do offer services that are similar to ours however, none of these companies are specialists of marketing/market research (Swart, 21-60). Given below are a few of our major competitors:
The high-level prestige management consulting firms: Deloitte Consulting LLP, Accenture, KPMG
List of key competitors:
1.
Deloitte Consulting LLP
2.
Accenture
3.
KPMG
Strengths: The owner-partners manage the prime locations which involves a lot of understanding and presentation of the general business. They have got impeccable reputations due to which the consultation decision is very easy for the manager to make even in the presence of high prices (Swart, 21-60).
Weaknesses: The specific distribution, market and channel expertise of ABC-CS can be replaced by the general business know-how. Along with this is the fact that the fees charged by them are quite high and usually its the junior-level consultants who do the work but the high-level partners sell it (Swart, 21-60).
Other Smaller Business Consultancy firms
There are a number of smaller consulting firms operating in San Antonio. The list includes (Business Directory, n.d):
Agee's Consulting Service LLC
AISYS Consulting
Allegiant International LLC
Asset Essentials LLC
Aventine Hill Partners Inc.
Baird Weisman
Business Guru Inc.
Constancy Inc.
Critical Project Services LLC
Cyber Checkmate Consultants LLC
Dale Carnegie Training of San Antonio
DBR Engineering Consultants Inc.
Deloitte LLP
DES Business Solutions
The DeBerry Group
The Executive Benefits Guy
Forward March Inc. (FMI)
GDC Marketing & Ideation
Genesis Concepts & Consultants LLC
Global Dynamic Consulting
Guida & Associates
Hyperion Energy Consulting
Jorge Trevino - Consultant
Michael C. Mitchell Consulting LLC
MJKD & Associates
Physician Spring LLC
SMITH/Associates
vcfo
WHY Group L.L.C.
Strengths: A lot of experience in particular areas especially bookkeeping. ABC-CS has no intentions of competing with the general business consultancy firms which are present in the market (Swart, 21-60).
Weaknesses: Their major weakness is the inability to expand beyond a particular focus, or rise above it and to provide the customers with actual market and marketing research.
The most important competition is no consulting of any kind. This happens when the companies decide to do business development, channel development or market research by themselves (business plan, para51).
Strengths: Other than travel there aren't any incremental costs (business plan, para51).
Weaknesses: There is a lot of burden on majority of the managers. When it comes to the in-house channel and market development there is a lot of risk involved. Lastly, with the help of the antenna consultants the companies can greatly improve and expand their reach and position and get into conversations that otherwise might not have been possible to arrange (business plan, para51).
Apart from the belief in hard work and complete commitment to the firm, there are 2 more things that the competitive strategy of a firm should be based upon and these are:
Specialization and Customer-oriented service policy (Datamonitor, 18-34).
The first factor can be achieved if the firm makes an effort in specializing in the required field. With the help of this specialization the firm can achieve a lot of expertise in the particular field. Through this specialization ABC-CS can even manage to save costs as, the fewer number of services that are offered by the firm the more they will be able to focus on their present services and improve them. This will also help in gaining the customer satisfaction (Datamonitor, 18-34).
We plan on targeting the customers who are need of precise, reliable and high-quality work along with the plan that would be catering to their needs. It doesn't matter which enterprise/corporation our clients belong to as, we will be focusing on delivering quality work that will meet the requirements of our clients. With the help of this customer-oriented approach we will be able to achieve not only constant growth but also establish our brand name in the market (Datamonitor, 18-34).
Section 5: Prices of the services
ABC-CS shall usher in the realm of competitive pricing, in relation to the dictates of the market and commensurate with the high standards of quality services it warrants. We intend to align our expenditure model to our revenue model, to ensure that the company is on its way towards sustainable growth and that the employees are being awarded commensurate pay for the excellent quality service they proffer. We plan on laying an emphasis upon this area, bearing in mind that this is an essential component of the machinery of business and that employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction are correlates and each ensures the other, in a cyclical process of seamless continuity. We shall ensure that we include within our fee the charges for work and any delivery at a 50% profit margin. Obviously, services aimed to capture the clientele at the higher end of the spectrum shall see higher mark-ups, owing to little or no price sensitivity of the clients at this end (Nielson, 65).
There will be a very varied pricing structure. The company will take into account the factors of equity payments, time and materials, and the variables like value based as well as fixed fee for billing purposes. The price may vary widely from about $200/hour in the least for a worker to about $1,000 per hour for a senior level executive / ("Quora para 1&2).
Though it is understood that a company boasts of highly talented personnel and professionals, each element of the business operation needs an expert view and the company's professionals themselves better appreciate this fact. The company has to keep on working on the advices of the visiting experts and consultants long after they have left and the company's people (O'Rourke para1) do this. It is a misconstrued notion that professionals are adept in every field of the business space. It is also important to ask for advice whenever needed. ABC-Cs understands these facts well. In situations where the clients are unable to pay the requisite fees or are unsure of the dynamics of the commercial transaction, ABC-CS will ensure their comfort by allowing… READ MORE
